Brian Bastida – General Manager, Beginner BJJ, Cross-Train

Born and raised in the Bay Area Brian has been training at Bay Area Boxing for the past 6+ years and received his purple belt in BJJ from Brian Fernandez in 2014. Brian teaches the Beginner Jiu Jitsu classes every Monday Wednesday and Friday at 4pm and the Cross-Train classes (Monday and Wednesday @ 6:45 pm and Tuesday and Thursday @ 4pm). Jake holds the rank of blue belt in BJJ under Brian Fernandez and has been training Muay Thai under Daniel Agid.

Tenshow Streets – BayFit Boxing & Kickboxing

Tenshow started his path to Muay Thai at Bay Area Boxing in Belmont 2010. Fresh out of high school Tenshow shortly moved to San Luis Bispo to attend Cal-Poly. Jason teaches the Sunday morning Bay Fit Boxing classes at 10:30 am. His class combines High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), fundamental boxing drills on the heavy bag, and ends with core exercises as well as a cool down stretch. Jake DeIaco grew up in Tucson, AZ and moved to California in 2007. Jake developed a passion for fitness at a young age and since has made a career in fitness sales, management and personal training. Jake has managed some of the top fight and fitness clubs nationwide and looks to continue his passion here at Bay Area Boxing. Florencio Sinogui – MMA Instructor

Flo grew up in California and moved to the Bay Area in 2009.

Flo has trained with the likes of the Diaz brothers, Jake Shields, and Gilbert Melendez in Stockton CA and has 4 Pro fights under his belt. Flo has taught MMA for many years and is great with beginner as well as more experienced fighters.

Daniel Agid – Muay Thai, BayFit Boxing, Kickboxing

Starting in Brazilian Capoeira, Daniel soon moved to learn the art of Kemp Karate with a small amount of Shaolin Kung Fu added to it. This path led him to find the fast and accurate kicking style of Taekwondo. Fighting in Taekwondo over two and a half years Daniel excelled in the ranks and was honored to be a part of The Taekwondo Junior Olympics! He captured the bronze, missing the gold only because of an over aggressive attitude. Moving forward in life, Daniel met Muay Thai world champion Alex Gong of Fairtex in San Francisco! Brian Fernandez – Head Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu instructor

Brian was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been training martial arts for the last 20+ years. In 1994, Brian Received a black belt in Judo from Willy Cahill. After many years of training and competition Brian added a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu to his resume under Ralph Gracie in 2007. Now retired from competition, Brian looks to further his love of BJJ as the head instructor at Bay Area Boxing. His classes are 1 ½ hours long and consist of BJJ warm ups, technique and full contact sparring. Being a black belt in Jiu Jitsu Brian can belt our students up to his ranking. [Read more…]
